Nursery, holiday club, forest school & family support

From a child's very first muddy footprint to a parent's first cup of tea in our family room. Here's everything we offer the families of Alderney.

Our programmes

Four ways to learn and grow with us

Full-year, full-time nursery

Our nursery is open all year round and full time, for children from 6 months to 5 years. Days are built around the outdoors, with forest school and farm care woven through them. We are PSEF registered; for more information, see the States of Guernsey website.

Holiday Club

A holiday club for school-age children from 4 to 11, running through the school breaks. The same outdoor days of farm, field and adventure, for older children who have grown up with us or are joining for the first time.

Forest School, every day

Forest School runs every day, for all ages. Both our nursery and our holiday club are built around outdoor education, so whether a child is with us at 8 months or 8 years, they spend their days learning outdoors on the farm.

Support for families

Our free weekly playgroup and stay-and-play sessions include baby music, nature tots and soft play. A warm, welcoming place for parents and carers to meet others, with friendly faces and a moment to breathe.

Good to know

Questions parents often ask

Do children spend lots of time outdoors?
We get outside as much as we can, with warm shelters, a fire circle and a full set of waterproofs and wellies in every size to keep everyone comfortable. We also do great indoor activities on our premises, which include a fully set up soft play zone, a nature garden and a playground.
What ages do you take?
Our nursery is for children from 6 months to 5 years, and our holiday club is for school-age children from 4 to 11. Babies and toddlers of any age are welcome at our free weekly family sessions with a parent or carer.
Is it safe for young children around farm animals?
Absolutely. Animal handling is always closely supervised, with strict hand-washing routines and clear welfare and hygiene policies. Children build confidence gradually, starting with gentle, calm animals.
Do you accept funded (PSEF) hours?
Yes. We take PSEF hours: 15 funded hours during term time for children in the year before they start school. You can read more on the States of Guernsey website.
How do we start?
The best first step is a visit. Come and meet the team and the animals, see the farm, and ask anything. Get in touch and we'll arrange a time.
